Spirit Run For The Arts

‘Spirit Run for the Arts’ to be held on Sunday March 2, 2014, rain or shine.
The 10K/5K Run/Walk will start at 8:30AM sharp! (Men, Women and Mixed Teams).
For children 8 and under, 9:30am start on main track inside the football stadium.

Thank you for your consideration in supporting the arts throughout Temecula.  As a runner/walker in the ‘Spirit Run for the Arts,’ you play an important role in the success of young people in Temecula.  The Temecula schools are a vital artery in the body of our community.  One of the factors that contribute to making our schools and city successful is the performing and visual arts’ programs.  Multiple studies indicate that participating in the arts increases academic and social success in school and promotes a sense of cooperative spirit.  This positive outcome is good for our students, our schools and most importantly, our community.

Therefore, we’d like to encourage you to participate in the ‘Spirit Run for the Arts’. This event, hosted by The Spirit of Great Oak Band & Guard, Great Oak High School, is providing the opportunity for all Temecula schools to build an arts community within their own school by participating in a healthful and positively focused event.

We appreciate your time and look forward to your participation in the ‘2014 Spirit Run for the Arts’!  Please review carefully the information contained within this website, to determine what your level of personal involvement will be.  This includes, but is not limited to, the many sponsors and voluntary donations that are needed to facilitate an event of this magnitude.  We look forward to your support!
